Bell tones, fanfares, cross-rhythms, and a short "development section" characterize this unique and dramatic arrangement of Carol of the Bells.
The Brass Band version of this arrangement won “Best Arrangement” in the 2005 Northrop International Brass Band Composition Competition in the Arrangement category. And the orchestral version is usually played somewhere each season.
This revision includes some minor orchestration changes, some minor "fidgeting" with the music, and some edits to expression marketings to add a bit more variety.
Although the cross-rhythms can be a bit tricky for those unfamiliar with them, it's quite a playable arrangement that any good high school level student should be able to perform without too much trouble.
